Weber Arquitectos

Contemporary, visionary architecture
Weber Arquitectos is a firm specializing in architectural projects, interior architecture and furniture/fixtures design operating under the direction of Fernando Weber, architect and firm founder (in 2002) and Anina Schulte-Trux, an interior architect who joined the firm as partner in 2004 and whose presence adds a new dynamic to the firm’s work.

At Weber, we resolve specific design problems with our signature style, while always focused on client desires and requirements. Our projects include residential, office and public spaces.

Balance and Sobriety
Our work seeks balance between integration into the natural environment and a sense of privacy.

A young firm, we take on challenges and propose responses whose protagonists are individuals and the environments they inhabit. We relish the entire process, from design to construction, oversight and architectural execution, interior and furniture/fixture design.

The Challenges
We like to think that every new project is a complete unknown. We feel energized when we take on the challenges. It lets us offer options and innovations to clients in accord with each project’s originally established parameters.

Our work is distinguished by a re-discovery of local materials as well as these materials’ use within constructions. We favor warm, welcoming environments both in residential interior design and in office and corporate projects. With commissions, budget has never been an impediment to the realization of something imaginative and daring.

Fernando Weber

(b. Mexico City, 1976)

Fernando founded Weber Arquitectos in 2002. His professional architectural experience began when he was still a student, at the offices of Lucio Muniain, where he participated in large-scale projects such as the Autofin México Building (2001) on Mexico City’s Insurgentes Sur Avenue.

Weber studied architecture at Mexico City’s Iberoamericana University. In 2000, he earned an additional diploma at UC Berkeley’s “Case Studies in Architecture” program. Besides overseeing his business, he obtained a Real Estate Business Administration degree from Iberoamericana University.

Weber has frequently participated in competitions and projects that have led to opportunities for the firm and he is currently focused on expanding and developing his own professional projects.

Anina Schulte-Trux

(b. Düsseldorf, 1977)

She is a graduate of the University of Coburg, in Germany, where she studied Interior Architecture. She gained her first professional experience and undertook her first projects at well-known firms—both in Germany and Mexico—and in additional to working at Gutiérrez Cortina Arquitectos from 1999 to 2000, she also participated in an academic exchange program with La Salle University. Notably, a formal collaboration accord between Coburg and La Salle was initiated as a result of her exchange. Ultimately, the time at La Salle convinced Schulte-Trux to return to Mexico.

After graduating—in 2002—she began working with José de Yturbe Arquitectos. In 2004 she began her professional partnership with Fernando Weber, whom she married two years later. In addition to participating in a wide array of contests and projects at the firm, she focuses on interior architecture, furniture/fixture design and lighting design. She is also responsible for firm public relations and corporate image. She is a frequent guest speaker on architecture, is a painter, and speaks several languages.

In 2012, Schulte-Trux obtained her Diploma in Organizational Leadership at Iberoamericana University.
